FAQ

Location, parking, our fleet, fuel, skippers, insurance, and other practical information. For current rates and rental periods, always check the price list and the page for the boat you choose.

Where is the base and how do I get to the boat?

Tiburon Nautica has a booking desk in central Malinska at Obala 22, 51511 Malinska. The boats are about 30 m from the desk — as a rule, our staff will walk you to the craft and go through a short handover and familiarisation.

How do I get to you, and is there parking?

Public parking is very close, on Lina Bolmarčića street, approximately 150 m from the departure point.

What kinds of boats do you offer?

We offer motorboats from 6 m to 7.5 m, with or without a cabin, depending on group size, comfort, and the route you have in mind. See the fleet section for full specs and photos of each model.

How many people are allowed on board?

Each registered boat has a legal passenger limit, usually between 6 and 8, depending on the model. The maximum is shown on the boat’s listing and must not be exceeded.

Is fuel included in the rental price?

No. After your trip, fuel is charged for actual use, with reference to the engine display; you receive clear instructions at handover.

Are there other costs besides the rental price?

In a typical case you pay for fuel in addition; skipper service, if you book it, is priced separately. We agree and confirm the full picture before you pay, so you can decide with confidence.

Do I need a licence to drive the boat?

In Croatia, an inboard-motor craft hired as a bareboat requires a valid licence that matches the vessel’s category. When you pick a model, make sure your credentials match the legal requirements for that craft.

What if I have no licence or little experience — can I get a skipper?

Yes. If you lack a licence or simply want a relaxed day on the water, we can provide a vetted, experienced local skipper — arranged in advance, with a route and pace suited to your group.

What does a full-day skipper service cost?

A full day (8 hours) with a skipper is €120 under our current price list; the final amount is confirmed with your booking.

Can I rent a motorboat for more than one day?

Yes. Multi-day hire is available, and longer bookings qualify for percentage discounts (see the price list or your inquiry). We are happy to suggest multi-day routes as well.

Are the boats insured, and what if something gets damaged?

The boats are properly insured. Under Croatian law, a rental craft may not leave the port without appropriate cover. At handover we explain any deductible or participation in damage costs so you know how protection works before you go.

Can I bring a pet on board?

Yes — we welcome well-behaved pets. Let us know when you book so we can match you with a suitable craft and a few tips for a comfortable day for everyone on board.
